Cooking Instructions

All Cloverdale hams are fully cooked and ready-to-eat, to serve warm.

Oven: Preheat oven to 325°F. Remove ham from package and place flat side of ham on baking pan. Add 1/2" water and cover with foil. Bake at 325°F for 15-18 minutes per pound or until center of ham reaches an internal temperature of 140°F on a meat thermometer. Optional: Garnish with any type of warm fruit glaze (See our favorite fruit glaze below). Remove from heat and let ham rest 10 minutes before carving.

Apricot Glaze: In a small saucepan, combine 6 oz. can Apricot Nectar, 12 oz. can Apricot Pie Filling, 2-3 tbsp. Ground Mustard and 1/2 c. Brown Sugar. Also add a pinch of Nutmeg and/or Ground Cloves if desired. Cook over medium heat until thickened and bubbly, stirring constantly for approximately 5-10 minutes. Brush ham with glaze and continue baking uncovered for 15-20 minutes brushing occasionally with glaze.

How long can I keep my Tear Drop before cooking.

The ham should have a use by date on it.

I bought a half ham and cut it in half to eat right away. How long is the other half good for in the fridge, since it has been opened? The use by date is Jan 16, do I still have that long for the other half?
